Comic Con 2016, Life Update, Commissions, Cringe

Phew! Where do I even start? Hmmm... Welp, let's start with me still being alive (surprisingly). XD My latest updates were with my drawings for my concept art class, a project of the concept of a new character and I shared my best friend's "Commissions Open" journal but we'll go into that in a few. For now, I need to let out something off of my chest, which is one of the reasons why I don't talk to people or spend much time on DA anymore so this journal may end up a bit long due to all the updates I'll do in this same journal. Here we go!

Deviantart, a place to share our artworks/photographs and literature, where it can help us improve, see the artworks of our favorite artists, etc. A wonderful place for artists, writers, photographers, animators, etc. This is what Deviantart should be about but what do I see? Kids, pre-teens and even some "adults" (quote cause they act more immature than some kids I have met in real life and it's just fucking sad and shows they got no social life) going through an endless loop of "drama" here and there, from "relationships" to being "bullied" by some "bad people" who, some of them, are telling the harsh truth to the immature whiny babies and "adult" babies that either nobody cares, to grow up, this is the internet, or they are just seeking attention (which is what most do from what I've seen and always act like the victim). From journals bashing another user for being a "slut" cause they broke someone's heart or had more than five DA boyfriends in a span of a couple of months, to journals of some whiny/immature "adults" crying out they're being bullied by said user, blah blah. It's so fucking sad. I stumbled upon a "grown" person who's more than 30 years already (if I am not mistaken), here on DA, saying they suffer from blood pressure, yes blood pressure, not even high blood pressure, just blood pressure. Something we ALL have, woah! But they say it so many times in their journals, clearly wanting attention and for people to pity them and by just saying to them "I have a life/I have better things to do/ I study/work so I can't talk", "Go see a doctor", "I hope you get better" they start "hyperventilating", "stomach hurts" and a lot of bullshit that doesn't work that way, I barely remember what else that person said cause I am trying to forget that cringy shit. (especially with that horrible as fuck grammar for a 30 year old, eesh, even my 7 year old sister can write better than that, and her 1st language is Spanish!) Oh, and saying that stuff to them is being "mean/disrespectful". Point is, that DA user was making up a huge fake ass illness to get attention. Oh, and that person says "work/college/school isn't an excuse to not talk to them or reply to them". Uh, I got news for you, the world doesn't revolve around you and yes, college/work/school is WAY more important than your pathetic sorry ass. What made me sad was the kids that actually believed this and clearly don't know shit about health, it's fucking basic health things. My family from part of my dad suffers from HIGH blood pressure and my best friend suffers from anxiety. That person made up an illness mixing those two so that people treat him like a glass cup and with care. Funny thing, my boyfriend even went to their two pathetic journals, explained how the illness that person "says they have" works and with logic, called out on their bullshit, told them to go see a doctor, and told them to learn how to write and that person hid the comments. Lmao, I was laughing my ass off the whole night. I also see some people come up with the most hilarious shit, "verbal rape"? I thought this was DA, not Tumblr. I would have excused that cringy shit if we were in Tumblr but we're in DA people, a place for art, photos, animations, literature, etc, and I see more "drama" and sad kids whining than art, which saddens me. There's no such thing as "verbal rape", you can get rape threats and you can report them to the police, but "verbal rape" in the internet?? How does that work here on DA? Is it roleplaying as if your "DA boyfriend/girlfriend" forces you to have rp sex with them? Sorry, not a thing. I laughed my ass off when I saw this but again, just sad. Seriously, this is one of the reasons why I avoid talking to people on DA anymore, I don't wanna get dragged into their sad "dramas" when I have better things to do, I study in college and have a life. I understand there are people who use DA as an escape from their real life and they don't get involved in "drama" and shit, people who have REAL problems and they aren't whining about it 24/7, but others create drama on their own and clearly shows me some people here will never grow up. (although some people do grow out of it though, at least) But then again, not my problem. I needed to let this out my system cause I have been holding this back for a few months now. Now you guys know why I don't spend much time on DA nor meet new people here anymore, to avoid the cringe and stupid situations. I only talk with those that have known me since I started DA or before I disappeared for months. (or approach me in a nice respectful way) Anyways, sorry for the long rant, just ignore it. ^^ But don't worry, this will be the only rant/vent of DA here, trust me and again, sorry. I do not like to post about this but this needed to be let out. 

Anyways, let's just go to this year's Puerto Rico Comic Con! It was so much fun! It was my cousin's first Comic Con ever, my boyfriend and I closet cosplayed as Gray and Juvia (again) and it was so much fun! My boyfriend posted some pictures in his Tumblr, you guys can ask for his username so you guys can look him up, he also posts his artworks there. (and he is currently taking art requests) c: Also, he bought me a cute plushie and we saw a woman dressed as Morticia Addams propose to her boyfriend (now fiance), who was dressed as Gomez on stage and it was the most beautiful thing ever~ It's the first time I see a woman propose to her boyfriend and my god, I'm so happy for them. uwu I also had my first sleep over ever with my best friend and my cousin (well, we just talked and scrolled on our phones lol, all chilling and relaxing~). Reason was cause my best friend was heading to Comic Con the three days while me and my cousin were only going Saturday and I live closer to the convention center, my best friend lives half an hour away and she had to drive there the three days, the least I could do was let her stay Friday night so she doesn't spend much in gas and we could head out together the next day, and it felt nice and I was happy in my room with my cousin and best friend~ We helped each other with the wigs, so much fun. X3 I got to meet Laura Bailey (voice of Maka Albarn from Soul Eater, Blaze the Cat, Chin Li, Lucina, Catherine) and Travis Willingham (voice of Knuckles the Echidna)!! QwQ I did some art prints for them (which I posted here), the plan was to keep one signed by them and the other was for them to keep and get a picture but sadly, it was $20 the picture and $20 each autograph and I had zero money on me so I got a bit sad. But when it was my turn, I got so shy and red, I was about to cry! They're both so adorkable! They were like cute little kids on Christmas morning cause people gave them figures for them and stuff and they got super happy! I went to Travis first since Laura was still busy and I shook his hand (he is so damn handsome and hot in person, I'm sorry ;w and told him the Knuckles drawing was for him, and he loved it! He even talked to me in Knuckle's voice! And said I was adorable, eep! Q//w//Q (I died a little when he told me that, too good to be true XD) and since Laura was still busy, I took the chance to talk to him for a bit. I asked him to guess how old I was (cause I look like a 12 year old and I am super tiny) and he guessed 18 and I said "super close, I'm 19!" and he smiled and I asked him how did he react when he first got Knuckle's part and said recording in the video games was super fun but in Sonic Boom animation Knuckles is super dumb so it isn't as fun. XD Then I went to Laura, shook her hand and gave her the drawing and her face was priceless! She said "this is for me?!" and then she smiled and was super happy, and she said "Aww! Chibi Catherine is so cute omg" and I swear, I died happy that day. I may not have gotten a picture with them nor an autograph but I made them happy with the drawings I made for them and I got called adorable by Travis. I died happy that day, you guys have no idea. <3 We took a lot of pictures of the amazing cosplayers too and saw friends I haven't seen in a long time. Also, my boyfriend and my childhood friend danced "Under the Sea" in Just Dance, fucking beautiful. X'D But apparently, someone in Comic Con was sick and they spread it, I got super sick for two days and a lot of people in my facebook (who obviously went to Comic Con) got sick too. XP

Now, if anyone is interested in commissions, my best friend opened commissions this summer so she can help out around the house and save up for her dream trip to Japan so please, go commission her! She draws amazing or at least spread the word, please!

Ok, now a bit of my life (?) update other than Comic Con and rant. I finished my classes a day before Comic Con and as you all know, I originally don't have a laptop anymore BUT I managed to find a way to use it (for now) cause my cellphone died last week and that was practically my laptop and a couple of days later, I managed to get the laptop running for now. So, hopefully I'll get to continue some fanfics (especially my Gruvia series) and watch series/anime! :'D But I won't be uploading any artwork for the whole summer (well, I forgot to upload one but I'll do it later) cause I got no scanner and no camera to take pictures so my apologies. But I have been drawing a lot lately so hopefully by September you guys will have a big art spam~ Also, I noticed that I am 2 artworks away here to reach 1,000 deviations. XD I wonder which one will be the 1,000~? (well, tomorrow I'll upload the one I forgot so it will be 1 left for 1,000 deviations. XD) So yeah, that is all for now. Hopefully in the next journal I'll post the links where you can find me more active and also share my best friend's Tumblr/DA so you can check out the commission guidelines and watch her amazing art. c: Phew!
